Reading Log
During the Month of January I have managed to read 20 books! I think this might be some sort of record for me.
Best and Worst
My Favourite would have to be A Court of Mists and Fury by Sarah J Maas.
This would be the third read-through of this book in expectation of the next book coming out this month. I still love it. The slow enemies to lovers trope done brilliantly. The gradual healing of trauma and the realisation that, what she needed before, isn’t what she needs now. I honestly think this is one of my all-time favourite books.
My least favourite was The Merman’s Kiss by Tamsin Ley.
It had instalust, instalove, an almost non-consensual coupling, attempted suicide by drowning, child death and a truly disturbing description of fish trying to get someone off.
Fish are food… not sex toys.

Blog
I wrote 2 additional posts for this month. My goal this year is to do at least one a fortnight so I’m sort of on task with this.
Social Media
One of my other goals for this year was to increase my social media engagement. So I wrote 15 #VSS365 mini-story tweets on my Twitter @king_lyd
I also started to do Bookstagram pictures. Admittedly I am not the best when it comes to pictures so my first few were edited via Photoshop (or Jasc paintshop pro) but I am slowly getting the hang of it. Please join me and feel free to constructively criticise my pics @king_lyd
And that was my January. Please let me know if you read any of these. Please keep it to yourself if you have a fish fetish.
